SMS & WhatsApp Messaging Terms

Our Memory Book is a service of Mostest Ventures, LLC. This page describes how we use SMS and WhatsApp messaging as part of our service.

What Messages We Send

Our Memory Book sends two types of text messages:

Story request invitations: a memory book owner invites you to share a memory or story for their book. These messages include a link to the submission page.
Submission confirmations: after you submit a memory via SMS or WhatsApp, we send a brief confirmation that your submission was received.

Message Frequency

Messages are sent only when:

A book owner sends you a story request (typically a one-time invitation)
You text a memory to our number and we confirm receipt

We do not send marketing messages, recurring campaigns, or promotional texts. Most recipients receive 1-3 messages total per memory book.

How You Opt In

You receive messages from Our Memory Book only after you take one of these actions:

You text us first: You initiate a conversation by texting a book code to our phone number. This is your consent to receive a confirmation reply and any follow-up messages related to that book. Our phone number and book code are displayed on each book's public contribution page.
Invited by a book owner: Someone you know (a family member, friend, or event organizer) adds your phone number as a contact in their memory book and sends you a one-time story request invitation. The book owner confirms they have your consent before sending.

By texting our number or providing your phone number to a book owner, you consent to receive the messages described above. You will never receive marketing messages, and we will never share your number with third parties for promotional purposes.

Here are examples of the messages you may receive:

Story request invitation:

Hi Sarah, we'd love to hear your story about Mom's Memory Book. Share a memory here: https://ourmemorybook.com/b/moms-book/submit/

Reply STOP to opt out.

Submission confirmation:

Your memory has been saved to Mom's Memory Book! View the book: https://ourmemorybook.com/b/moms-book/

How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving messages at any time:

Reply STOP, CANCEL, END, QUIT, or UNSUBSCRIBE to any message to unsubscribe from all future messages
Reply HELP to any message for support information
Contact us at ourmemorybook.com/contact or email [email protected]

After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages from us unless you text us again.

Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Our Memory Book does not charge for messages, but your mobile carrier's standard messaging rates apply.

Privacy

Phone numbers are stored securely and used only for the purposes described above. We do not sell, share, or rent phone numbers to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
